Big things were happening
The first Shikoku litter outside Japan was the combination of two beautiful dogs “Seiunhime Go Izumo Yanosow” and “Kazuhideryu Go Kazusa Okazawasow”. However, everything was strange for us because it was a totally new breed. I was already a breeder for many years but the Shikoku is something special and will repeat that forever. This was the first Shikoku litter outside Japan and it was broadcasted on National and Local television like SBS6, RTL, and DTV. The newspapers were writing about it. It was a big thing. 5 Shikoku puppies were born. 3 Shikoku males and 2 Shikoku females.
Ommi-Seium Van de Egmato
”Ommi-Seium Van de Egmato” was one of the children. He later became the father of very important and well-known dogs all around the world. He was a very compact red-sesame male with an excellent temperament, and he was very lovely to everyone.
Ommi-Seium was the first one who made history in the breed by winning a Best in Show Specialty in Belgium at a very young age. Later he won Junior World Winner, World Winner, European Winner and he was a Multi Champion all over the world.
The other kids from our Shikoku litter
”Yamakai-Seium Van de Egmato” was also one of the children from our first litter and he stayed in our kennel but we never used him in our breeding. The other ones were ”Tikiko-Seium Van de Egmato” who stayed in Holland with our friends. We were so curious about all these dogs how will they developed. Two dogs from the litter I gave to Katja Weber (Aka-Shima Shikoku Kennel, Canada) to start breeding Shikoku over there and to have a good base to start with. These were ”Imiko-Seium Van de Egmato” and ”Nanashimie-Seium Van de Egmato”.
