Few words about Shikoku Oyjo
During a trip to Japan in 2019, mainly to attend the yearly Grand National Show, we were invited to visit a breeder. We had received invitations several times before, and this year we finally decided to go. We looked at her adult and junior dogs and were even asked to help groom her male for the show the next day.
While strolling through the dogs, I noticed a litter of very young puppies being taken outside for the first time. They were only four weeks old. One little girl immediately caught my eye. I knew I shouldn’t have picked a puppy, as we had no intention of buying any new dogs—but the moment our eyes met, I was in love.
We later named her Oyjo. She has grown into a strong and incredible girl, with excellent structure and a pure, wonderful character. We hope to have a female from her in the future, as so far it has not yet worked out… but we are keeping our fingers crossed for the best!
